Many schools have a descent-bullying program, on the other hand many schools don’t. To many kids are getting bullied enough to the point where there committing suicide. It’s horrifying to think about, but sadly it’s true. Kids are bullying others because they are insecure about themselves. Also, kids bully kids that are different.
Kids are committing suicide because they are being bullied. Have you ever heard of the section in the newspapers, or magazines, called “Bullied to Death”? That’s what I’m talking about that’s how serious a mean word, or phrase or, not always a verbal action, but a physical action can do to someone. Kids are being bullied and losing their self-confidence like a rapid fire. I’ve seen that bullies have no true friends, but a couple of minute-long friends. Kids that are the victims feel like they don’t fit in, they feel lonely, and when the victim shows one sign, just one, that what the bully is doing is working the bully doesn’t stop it continues up until the stage where they try to commit suicide. Bullies are making other kids feel bad, so they can feel better about themselves.
Another reason schools need a better program is because, kids often go home to only a mom, or only a dad, because there parents are divorced. Kids also go home to parents that drink, smoke, or do drugs. Kids are growing up in a bad environment. The wrong person is influencing kids. Kids don’t feel confident about themselves, and they get mad and just let their anger out on other kids. Kids get insecure about how they look, how they dress, and there weight and they lead it to bullying. Must kids don’t know how much it can affect a kid, when they bully them. If the schools work to make a better program kids can feel more confident about talking to their parents and working things out.
My last reason that schools need a better program to stop bullying is because; kids are bullying kids that are different. Kids think that everyone should be the same. That girls should like guys, and guys should like girls. Not everyone is like that, and for that reason, kids bully him or her. Bullies also pick on kids of a different skin color, for example black people aren’t as good as white people, and it’s the same for every race. Kids that are smart are considered nerds, and nerds get picked on all the time.
These are my reasons that schools need a better program to stop bullying. Bullying has gotten WAY out of hand, and it’s affecting the lives of other children. Bullying is not a game, it’s not funny, its not nice, and it needs to stop.
